The end of the red and orange inpayment slips
The red (IS) and orange (ISR) inpayment slips are nearing the end of their life. By 30 September 2022 at the latest, they will be completely replaced by the QR-bill. The two types (IS and ISR) are combined in one document, the QR payment part.
The owner of the QR-bill is SIX Group AG, which is thus taking a further step towards becoming a comprehensive financial infrastructure service provider for the Swiss financial centre.
The QR-bill pleases the bill recipient and the biller
The QR-bill fulfils with its data stock in scope, function and format (ISO 20022) the requirements for digital processing without media discontinuity. However, those who want to continue to receive paper invoices also benefit from reduced effort and expense caused by media breaks in the process between invoicing, dispatch and payment order: The invoice recipient simply scans the Swiss QR Code in the payment section with his smartphone, computer camera or hand scanner and then only needs to approve the payment without any additional entries. The tedious typing of account and reference numbers is no longer necessary.
